The GoPro I already owned is a HERO 4 Silver. Man, I love the HERO 4 Silver! I own battery backpacks, remotes and microphones for it. The GoPro's have the ability to operate from the remote with simultaneous sync. This allows a type of scene capture I have longed for since buying my HERO 4 Silver. I decided it was time to buy a couple more HERO
You can rock a class 10 sandisk 30mb/s for 4K on the GoPro Hero 4. 4K bitrate is about 60mbit on the GoPro Hero 4, thats about 7.5Mb/s. A Class 10 card has a 10Mb/s guaranteed minimum writing speed. Yes, its great to have a super fast card for some head room. But 60Mbit/s is not 60Mb/s. Thats like 480mbit. Dont get them confused.

Got Hero 3+ Silver to replace a previous underwater camera that offed itself after one too many deeper snorkel dives. Personally, I think the Silver version provides 85% of the benefit most people will need from their Go Pro, but if you are super serious about this stuff maybe go for Black for advanced settings and higher res settings.
The number of accessories you can buy for it exceeds what you can get for an iPhone easily in terms of mounts. As a bonus, it does still pics too.
