HBO Max is one of the main streaming services that are available out there. Like other similar services, it is available on many platforms. However, for some time now, HBO Max users have been facing an annoying subtitle-related issue. Apparently, the positioning of these is not working correctly (1, 2, 3, 4).

Spanish subtitles showing by default. I am trying to watch From Dusk Til Dawn and Spanish subtitles are stuck on the film. Original poster. Feb 25, 2012. 137. 207. Sep 26, 2019. #1. After upgrading to tvOS 13 subtitles are displayed in the center of the screen. I don't mean on the bottom center but in the horizontal and vertical center of the screen. It happens when I airplay video using iTunes and it happens when I start the video on the apple tv itself.

HBO Max subtitles not working. I’m trying to watch Drive My Car on the HBO Max app on Roku TV and the captions turn themselves off about 30 mins in. I’ve tried turning the captions on and off, deleting and reinstalling the HBO Max app, and turning captions off and on with the HBO Max phone app. When I rewind the movie I can see the earlier bNV6.
